Once again, Microsoft has shown that it doesn’t give a sh*t about healthcare. In a desperate attempt to catch up with OpenAI and Anthropic, Microsoft bolted HealthEx onto its old app to save the day.
That's exactly my point. Patients deserve, and in the U.S. are actually entitled under the 21st Century Cures Act, to have the freedom to access their medical records directly, without middlemen such as OpenAI, Microsoft, Anthropic, Amazon, or whoever else.
Why Microsoft just doesn't have Josh Mandel MD build a freaking health app, he already created the Health Skillz and most of the specification that HealthEx is using he literally works for Microsoft!
100%. Not to take anything away from HealthEx, but yes, there are so many great health API apps. So why wouldn’t any of them just offer an open API to patients? You’re probably the best person to answer that question, Gene.
Also HealthEx is powered by Fasten Health on the back end and Jason has a integration guide that ANYONE can use as well. literally you and I can create a healthapp in an afternoon if we wanted to Sergei :)
Not to say anything bad about HealthEx I met Priyanka and she is wonderful, they are the first in the connected AI Agent race with live in Claude now (beta) which is a huge thing.
Judy's copilot to the stars. would you have believed it if some said even 20 years ago for the USA 250th birthday we would have our first King? and the only thing standing in his way was an EMR company ?? crazy stuff
Maybe it's me, but I will never allow a chatbot to look at my medical records

Literally this is an open source repo that lets ANYONE connect to ANY Epic instance that Josh put out there https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/health-skillz-why-i-built-my-own-record-connector-codex-mandel-md-mlz3c/

Open AI Health has never given me access so I have no clue about it, its a closed invite only list.

Here’s another kicker. Microsoft doesn’t even care if they plagiarize the product name. Copilot Health is a real company.
