Looking forward for the monday post

You nailed it in your analysis - it’s the complexity of how health care is reimbursed and incentives - misalignment exists in what “ should be whole health care “ vs what gets paid “ sick care “

I heard dr Eric Topol, who wrote Deep Medicine, quoting another doctor who said AI won’t replace doctors but doctors who use AI will replace those those who don’t use AI.

This was famously said by Geraint Rees, Ph.D., Professor of Cognitive Neurology at University College London, on March 6, 2019. I had the fortune to explore the history of the "Machines Will Replace Doctors" debate. https://sergeiai.substack.com/p/the-machines-will-replace-doctors

Fascinating discussion on the digital health funding cycle. So many lessons here for both founders and investors. The focus on profitability and sustainable growth is more critical than ever!

Sergei, you and Arundhati Parmar, who did a nifty takedown this week in MedCity News of the sainted Glen Tullman of Transcarent (and of the Grand Theft Auto that was the Livongo deal) ought to watch your six this weekend....

No doubt. But at least I’d know who put the contract out. By the way, Livongo was the heist of the century.

Between your work, her article, and Ari Gottleib picking off some of the smaller but amazingly showy fry like NeueHealth and NEA, there is definitely a change in the status quo.
